Our mission is to support men’s mental health and well-being in Wales by fostering community links, peer support ort and sharing accessible opportunities for connection throughout Wales.

Role Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Men’s Mental Health Events Researcher to support our suicide prevention objectives. This volunteer will play a vital role in researching, compiling, and publishing a weekly digest of events, groups, and activities across Wales that support men’s mental health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough online research to identify upcoming events, activities, and support groups in Wales that align with men’s mental health and well-being.
  • Compile accurate, engaging, and accessible weekly updates featuring these opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the helpu.org.uk team to publish updates on our website, social media, and newsletters.
  • Maintain a database of ongoing and recurring events and resources.
  • Ensure information is up-to-date, relevant, and reflective of our core message: *Connection is Protection*.
  • Engage with event organisers where appropriate to gather additional information or verify details.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for men’s mental health and well-being.
  • Strong online research skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet weekly deadlines.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms (social media, email newsletters, and websites) is required.
  • Knowledge of Welsh geography and local communities is a plus. Knowledge of WordPress, Canva and digital publishing useful but not essential.

  • Remote (based in Wales is preferred but not essential).
