In a world where bottling up feelings seems to be the norm, Tailan learned a powerful lesson: therapy can be a real game-changer.

Growing up, his family wasn’t much for talking about emotions. The whole “stay tough” thing was drilled into him. So, he ended up wearing the same expression no matter what – whether he was happy, sad, or angry – for years on end. But you can’t keep all that inside forever. Sooner or later, you just start to feel nothing at all.

Something clicked.

Eventually something clicked for Tailan. He realised it was time for a change. He decided to give therapy a go, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a ride. He’s learned that it’s completely okay to feel all kinds of different emotions. If he’s feeling down, he lets himself feel it; if something ticks him off, he doesn’t hold back. Even complaining? Yeah, that’s allowed too. Some days aren’t all rainbows, and that’s totally fine. We all have those days when we’re just not feeling it, right?

Unfortunately, not everyone has someone they can open up to, especially about tough stuff. That's why speaking up is so important. It's about creating a space where talking about mental health is just no big deal. So, if Tailan's head is a bit of a mess, trying out therapy could be just the thing. It's turned his life around, showing him it's absolutely fine to be a real person with all their quirks and imperfections.
