STEP – Suicide prevention in construction
STEP is a set of suicide prevention films in Welsh and English created by Helpu in partnership with NHS Wales and CITB, designed specifically for the construction industry. It introduces a simple four-step approach—Spot, Talk, Empathy, Point—to help people recognise when someone may be struggling, start supportive conversations, listen without judgement, and guide them towards help. Through real stories and practical advice, the film aims to give everyone the confidence to look out for one another, because sometimes one conversation really can save a life.
