Any person aged 18 and over who requires support with Drugs and/or Alcohol. The support provided encompasses various aspects, including assisting individuals with their substance use, offering guidance to enhance social and domestic skills, providing emotional support, and aiding in accessing local community services like housing, health services, and counseling. Referrals into higher levels of support such as OST prescribing, residential rehab, and coordination with other service providers such as Community Mental Health teams, GPs, probation services, social services, welfare advisors, and legal services are also part of the service. Additionally, support is offered to access training, education, and employment opportunities, promote independence, self-care, and alleviate social isolation. The service may also provide transportation for service users to attend appointments, ensuring inclusivity and ongoing support engagement.

The DAWN Centre

The DAWN Centre is a multi-agency building, providing a range of services to our client who have issues around mental health, substance misuse, housing, carers support, employment to name a few. The DAWN centre houses Adferiad Recovery services, which are Caniad, Supporting People, Carers, Cyfle Cymru, CAMFA and Parabl. We also have external services bases here, who are our tenants, which are the Conwy SMS and Dechrau Newydd.

Hafal Ammanford Resource Centre: provides educational, training, employment and leisure opportunities. One-to-one support is provided to help people deal with challenges and move on in their lives. The centre is open 5 days per week. The centre is used to run sessions for service users on self-management, cooking, computers and gardening, we have a large Poly tunnel, and raised beds in the garden. Service users are also supported to go swimming, cycling and walking. Staff and service users are responsible for the upkeep of the garden and grounds.
